Your platform
Starting point of the Platform is the active article file of the providing Party. The selection system uses the
article file as a basis for EPC. This means that the source of the catalog data (TecDoc web services) will
not be provided one on one to the end user, but trough the platform. With this so called middleware, developed by IZI 2Connect, it is possible to determine which information the user can see in terms of availability, price and product characteristics (e.g. product description: from the source or ERP) at
article level. Depending on the capabilities of the ERP system, we can destinguish different modes:
- Real-time information from the ERP system.
- Refresh using trigger.
- Periodic article file.
